CaptureBeamDemo compiler
Terms of service

Plain English. Lawyer-readable.

The agreement between you and CaptureBeam. We've kept it short — read it, ask questions if anything's unclear.

1. Who this is between

  • These terms are between you (or your company) — "you" — and CaptureBeam — "we" / "us".
  • By creating an account or using the API, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.

2. The service

  • CaptureBeam is a hosted demo-compiler. You write YAML scripts; we operate a browser, capture the flow, and render a polished MP4.
  • The product is paid: $19.99/mo or $199/yr. Both unlock the same access. The free trial demo on the marketing site is a watermarked teaser, not part of the paid product.
  • We provide best-effort uptime but make no specific availability guarantees beyond the support promises in §6.

3. Acceptable use

  • You may target any URL you have legitimate access to or permission to demo. You're responsible for ensuring you have that permission.
  • You may not use CaptureBeam to scrape data, harvest credentials, perform load testing on third-party sites, or interact with sites in ways their terms prohibit.
  • You may not use the runner to actually create accounts, submit forms, or take destructive actions on third-party sites — the trial endpoint enforces this automatically; for paid accounts you assume responsibility.
  • You may not use CaptureBeam to harass, deceive, defame, or violate anyone's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
  • Fair use applies to rendering. The published soft caps (3 concurrent renders, 5,000 renders/year) are anti-abuse, not margin protection — but workloads sustained at the cap may be throttled.

4. Your content stays yours

  • You retain ownership of every YAML script you author and every MP4 we render for you.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to store, process, and serve your content solely to operate the service for you (e.g., run the renderer, host the MP4, deliver via signed URL).
  • We don't use your demo content for any other purpose — no model training, no advertising, no resale. See the Privacy policy.
  • If you delete your account, we delete your content per the schedule in the Privacy policy.

5. The trial demo

  • The free preview on the marketing site is provided as-is, with a watermark, no SLA, no support.
  • The agent that drafts trial demos is constrained to never click destructive elements (Submit, Sign up, etc.) but if you submit a URL whose interactive elements contain false-positive matches, the rendered demo may simply not show that element. This is by design.
  • Trial outputs are rate-limited per IP and may be throttled or refused without notice if abuse is detected.
  • By submitting a URL, you confirm you have the right to demo that URL's content.

6. Subscription, billing, refunds

  • Billing is processed by Stripe. We don't store your card data.
  • Monthly subscriptions auto-renew monthly. Yearly subscriptions auto-renew yearly. You can cancel any time from the customer portal — cancellation is prorated; yearly subscribers retain access through the end of the billing period.
  • 30-day refund policy: if CaptureBeam doesn't work for you in the first 30 days, email hello@capturebeam.com and we'll refund.
  • After 30 days, the subscription itself isn't refundable, but we'll credit specific render failures on a case-by-case basis.
  • Failed payments retry per Stripe's default Smart Retries; the subscription transitions to past_due, then unpaid, then canceled if not resolved within 21 days.

7. Termination

  • You may cancel any time. Cancellation stops auto-renewal; access remains until the end of the paid period.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of §3 (acceptable use) — typically with a warning first, immediately for severe violations.
  • On termination, your data is retained per the deletion schedule in the Privacy policy unless you explicitly request immediate deletion.

8. Warranties and liability

  • We provide CaptureBeam as-is. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific render will succeed.
  • We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, or for lost profits or revenue.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of CaptureBeam is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • These limits apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims arising from your content, your use of CaptureBeam in violation of §3, or your violation of any third party's rights.

10. Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are announced at least 14 days in advance via the dashboard banner and via email to active subscribers.
  • Continued use of the service after the changes take effect is your acceptance of the updated terms. If you don't accept them, cancel before they take effect.
  • Last updated: 2026-04-29.
